A man of mass 50 kg stands on a frame of mass 30kg, he pulls on a light rope which passes over a pulley the other end of the rope is attached to the frame. For the system to stay in rest what force must the man exert on the rope?

As the man stands on the frame,therefore total weight of system=m(M)+m(F)=50+30=80 Kg.For the system to be on equilbrium,F=T=mg=>80*10=800N(Ans)
