A liquid of mass m is filled upto height h in a vessel, as shown. Find correct option(s): (A) If alpha=beta , horizontal component of forces on left and right side of inclined faces will be equal and opposite (B) If alpha (C) If A is the area of the base of the vessel, then forces exerted by liquid on walls of the vessel is greater than atm (AP atm +mg) (D) If A is the area of the base of the vessel, then forces exerted by liquid on walls of the vessel is equal to atm (AP atm +mg)

Dear student

Since the liquid would be in equilibrium whetherα=βorα=β, the horizontal components of forces on left and right side of inclined faces will be equal and opposite.
The vertical component of the force exerted by liquid on the walls of the vessel is equal to the force due to pressure difference between top and bottom of liquid=(Patm+ρgh)A.
Thus the force exerted by liquid on walls of the vessel is greater than(Patm+ρgh)A.
