A light object and a heavy object have equal kinetic energies of translation. Which one has the larger momentum?

Heavy object has the larger momentum.
Momentum of a particle (p) depends on the kinetic energy of that particle (Ek) by the relation,
P = √2mEk …… (2)
From equation (2) we observed that, momentum of a particle (p) is directly proportional to the mass of the particle (m).
Since both the light and the heavy object have equal kinetic energy, therefore heavier one has the larger momentum.

Momentum is directly proportional to massand kinetic energy . Since , kinetic energy is equal as it is given . More the mass, more the momentum.Thus, a heavy object has more momentum than a lighter object.
