A horizontal force F = 3t (all units in S.I.) acts on a block of mass 1 kg at t=0, opposite to the initial velocity of block u=10m/s. Block slides on a horizontal surface with friction coefficients 0.4 (static) and 0.2 (kinetic). Find the velocity of the block at t = 4 s.

a = 3t/1= 3t
dv/dt = 3t
or
v = 3t^2/2
v = u + at
v = 10 – 3t*t => 10 – 3*16 = -38 m/s
Then solve after considering friction force too and compare with v = -38 m/s
