Volume of boat immersed = Water displaced Hence, weight of displaced volume = weight of boat, this gives volume of water displaced. When volume immersed of boat = 1 m3 Then water will come in from sides. So, volume of water seeped in x density x g + Weight of boat = Volume of boat x density of water x g
