Given,
Each side is decreased by 2%We have ,
Volume of cube=L³
On Differentiating we get,
dV/v=3dL/L
dV/V=3×2/100
dV/v=0.06
dV/V=0.03

Please find the attached solution to your problem below.
 
Each side is decreased by 2%
Hence, dL/L x 100 = – 2
or, dL/L = – 2/100
We have ,
Volume of cube=L³
On Differentiating we get,
dV/V = 3dL/L
dV/V = 3 × – 2/100
dV/V  =  – 0.06
Hence, its Bulk strain = dV/V = – 0.06
