A cord of length 64 m is used to connect a 100 kg astronaut to spaceship whose mass is much larger than that of the astronaut. Estimate the value of the tension in the cord. Assume that the spaceship is orbiting near earth surface. Assume that the spaceship and the astronaut fall on a straight line from the earth centre. The radius of the earth is 6400 km

As the centrifugal force is balanced by gravitational force tension will be equal to weight and is 1000N.Hope it clears. If u have doubts then please clearify. And if u like my answer then please approve answer

answer given is 0.03 N
there will be two gravitational forces.. one from earth and one from satellite
