Let the distance be x , therefore total distance=2x
Speed1=60km/h
Time taken for 1st half of the journey=(x/60)hr
Time taken for finalhalf of journey=(x/30)hr
Total time=(x/60)+(x/30)=(x+2x)/60=3x/60
Avg speed of the car =total distance/total time taken=2x/3x/60=2x*60/3x=40km/h (answer)
