We need to find tan@.
Firstly find the resultant by breaking the components of velocity A and B
Make B at rest and share its components on the opposite sides of it to A.
Find the resultant which will be
R=√(70√2)² +(10√2)²
• R= √10000
R= 100
Now,
You will notice that the resultant is cutting through the north to an angle to east.
Now we need to find that angle.
Using Pythagoras
We get
P= √R²- (70√2)²
P= 10000- 9800
P=10√2
Now tan@= P/70√2
; tan@=1/7
