Work done is given by the equation: W=F⋅d ... W=40 N⋅1.5 m.  What if the boy walked across the room with the weight held in the position?

The boy holds a 40 N weight and takes place by arm length for 10ms.

His arm is 1.5m above ground and work done by force is at holding it accordingly

Dear student
if the boy walked across the room with the weight held in the position described.
The work done would still be zero,  d  would no longer be zero, but the vectors F and d are in perpendicular direction
Q = 90 Cos 90 = 0
