A block of mass 5kg is placed on a rough horizontal surface of a moving compartment .It is seen by an observer sitting inside the compartment ,that A force of 10N is res in horizontal direction to move the box in a direction parallel to the motion of compartment while a force of 20N is res in horizontal direction to move the box in opposite direction .Find the coefficient of friction bet the surface of the block and the surface.

If we draw fbd of block then there are 4 forces acting on it
1)gravity (weight) 
2)friction
3)Normal reaction of ground
4)psuedo force due to acclerating cart
Weight of bolck=mg=50
Normal reaction=50
We know that psuedo force acts in the direction opposite to direction of motion of accelerating body
Thus, here psuedo force=20N
Thus 10=friction bet block and compartment
