A block of mass 2kg ispushed against a rough vertical wallwith a force of 40N, cofficient of the static friction being 0.5. Another Horizontal force of 15N is applied on the block in the direction parallel to the wall. Will the block move? If Yes, In which direction? If No, find the frictional force exerted by the wall on the block.

max static friction force that can be exerted by wall on block is =0.5*40 =20 Nsince applied horizontal force 15 N is less than max static force so block will not moveso friction force exerted by wall on block is =15 N
