A block A constrained to slide along the inclined plane of the wedge B. Block A is attached with a string which passes through three ideal pulleys and connected to the wedge B. If the wedge is pulled towards right with an acceleration 'a', find acceleration of block with respect to wedge and ground:

The distance covered by the B block : x   The distance covered by the A block : y Here the relation between y and x is y = 2x. ( B block and string connected to B block covered x distance. Total distance covered is 2x. Is equal to distance covered by the A block). Now both sides differentiate twice w.r.t to time. We will get aA= 2aB
