since the balloon is rising up and the stone is in the balloon initially
therefore the initial velocity of the stone =20m/s
now use s=ut+0.5at
if the up direction is taken as  positive 
s= -100m , u=20m/s and g= -10m/s or -9.8m/s (whatever u use)
just plug in the values and u will get the answer
