can anyone pls solve this for me?a rain drop falls from rest in an atmosphere saturated with water vapour. as it falls, water vapour condenses on the drop at the rate of mass mu per second. if initial mass of drop is m naught, how much distance the drop falls in time t?

Hello Aditya,

As the water drop falls from the atmosphere, its acceleration will be the same as Acceleration due to gravity as the only force that  attracts it to ground is gravitational.

So the a= g in this case.

Therefore , distance travelled by the drop can be obtained from the formula.

s=ut + 1/2 at^2.

u=0; a=g

Distance travelled = 1/2gt^2.

Hope this clarifies it.
