In this question,the cable does not work on the bob.So,the bobs energy is conserved.1/2 mV2 = mgh .......(1)here, h= l cosθ = 5 cos60 = 5/2 .......(2)from equations (1) and (2), we find1/2 mV2 = m×9.8×5/2V2 =49 V=7 m/sec
