A car moving with const. acceleration covered distance between 2 points 60m apart in 6 sec. Its speed as it  passes 2nd point was 15 m/s.


1)At what prior distance from the first point was the car at rest?


2)Plot graph between s and t between v and t, starting from rest ?

Dear Chilukuri

let the velocity of car at first point is v

and at x prior distance from first point car was in the rest.

motion between first and second point

15=v +a*6 ......................1

and

60 =v(6) +1/2 *a* (6)2

10=v +3a ..........................2

solve equation 1 and 2

a=5/3

v=5

now motion between fron point of rest to first point

52 =02 +2*a*x

x=15/4 m
