Does the force constant of a spring changes if it is cut into parts?

u fools r wrong it changes

if wat u r saying is right then if i keep 2 springs of spring const k in parralel then k epuivalent should be k which is wrong it becomes k/2.

Yes, the value of k changes.

If the spring is cut into 2 parts, value of k doubles.

 Yes it will change as F=kx then k=F/x .... thus spring constant of spring depends on length of spring ..
