For a particle moving in a circle with constant angular speed, velocity vector is always tangent to the circle and the acceleration vector always points towards the centre of the circle or is always along radius of the circle. Since, tangential vector is perpendicular to radial vector, therefore, velocity vector will be perpendicular to the acceleration vector. But in no case acceleration vector is tangentto the circle.

The angular speed is how fast the angle changes. So
it measures  A particle is moving round a circle of radius 10cm. ... If a body is moving around a circle, even if it is moving at a constant speed it is accelerating.
