Approved Tutor Answer13 Years agoCoriolis force is nothing but the deflection of moving object when they are viewed from rotating frame of refrence . It is applied when the force is not real and is just the outcome of circular motion.

ACTULLY I WAS CONFUSED IN SOLVING IIT JEE 2012''S PROBLEM IN WHICH A HALF SHADED DISC WAS ROTATING WITH CONSTANT ANGULAR VELOCITY AND WE HAVE TO CHECK OUT CORRECT ANSWER(MLTIPLE CHOICE).IWANT TO DO THAT QUESTION BY THE CONCEPT OF CORIOLIS FORCE.PLEASE POST THE SOLUTION.
