when bob is in its max. height the components of mg & ma are-:
components of mg
mg cos θ & mg sin θ
components of ma (pseudo force)
ma sin θ & ma cos θ
now total force on bob is
mg sin θ - ma cos θ = ma? (a? acc. of bob w.r.t trolley)
therefore a? = g sin θ - a cos θ
