dear pallavi let t time is taken for overtake, and x is the total distance to overtake. distance travelled by blue car in t sex is (x-5)m distance travelled by red car in t sex is (x+5)m t=(x-5)*1000/42 =(x+5)*1000/60........(1) or (x-5)/42=(x+5)/60 calculate x from here. this is the required distance. and put this value in eq (1) and calculate t .
