Can numerical problems in mechanics be solved with the help of geometry?

Atually All mechanics problems involve a bit of geometrical aspect eg:-breaking up of components of a vector,determining the angle incribed between the two vectors and etc.Secondly in a typical sums based on pulley and the block which involves an inclined plane can easily be solved by geometry,eg-if a pulley descends by y distance and the wedge moves by horizontal x distance then their tan(theta) will remain constant that is y/x..Similarly you yourself can analze which concept of geometry is being used...Hope it hepls
