if the collision is perfectly in elastic then molecules will stick to the wall hance the pressure and kinetic energy will both be zero & iff pressure is 0 temp. has to 0.

and if collision is not perfectly inelastic thhen it will continue losing energy and its pressure will keep on reducing

the surface of the wall will eventually attain thermal equilibrium(equal temperature) with the gas present inside

Since the gas molecules are colliding elastically, the pressure is caused.

But when they collide inelastically, the kinetic energy is not conserved, so the temperature(which is directly depended on kinetic energy of gas molecules) changes. The pressure also changes as the temperature changes. the inelastic collision of gas molecules release some amount of energy in different forms . they may vibrate or apply some force on the walls of container. so the pressure change.
