a ball is dropped from a height of 5m onto a sandy floor and penetrates the sand up to 10 cm before coming to rest find the retardation of the ball in sand assmuing it to be uniform.

the answer is 500m/sec2....the velocity of the ball on reaching the ground will be root of 2*10*5 (2gh) and it moves a distance of 10cm i.e 0.1m so the retardation is 500...............please rate me if u like it......
