Hello,
Is tangential and radial velocity the same thing?
no tangential velocity acts tangentially at any point on circle and radial towards the centre.
want to get further clarification first approve my answer
No they are not the same thing.
Tangential velocity is the velocity which acts tangentially to the circular motion and is equal to rω, where ω is the angular velocity.
Radial velocity is the velocity in the line of oberserver or an object and is simply equal to v, i.e, the same as we use in linear motion.
