Sir, as it is known that pure rolling is due to the toppling of the roller over the surface in contact...but at the same time the roller is rotating about its central axis (I' com ). . .so, my doubt is that "is it necessary to have a net torque w.r.t the central axis of roller while pure rolling....or only the torque for surface in contact acts on it??"
