a plane, diving at an angle of beta withthe vertical, releases a projectile at an altitude of 730m. The projectile hits the ground 5.0s after it was released, having travelled a horizontal distance of 900m. (i) calculate the speed of the plane when the projectile was released and the angle beta? (ii) what were the speed and direction of the projectile just before hitting the ground?

dear student,

your question is a simple problem of kinematics

tan(beta) = 730/900

and using s= ut + 1/2at^2

where s=730

t=5

a=g=9.8

therefore u= 121m/s

 BEST OF LUCK..!!!!
