Least count of a spherometer depends on the device that you have,

normally in labs , the least count is 0.01mm or 0.001cm

least count = pitch / number of divisions on the circular scale head

normally number of divisons on circular scale head is 100

and pitch is 1mm (i.e. on the linear scale)

so

least count = 1 / 100 = 0.01 mm or 0.001cm

the formula of LC is LC=pitch/no of divisions on circular scale and number of divisions are 100(u can check too)
and pitch means its complete rotation’s impact which is 1mm
so, LC=1/100
      =0.01 mm or 0.001 cm

Distance  through which the screw advances on the main scale in 10 rotations of the circular scale l=1cm
Pitch of the crew therefore p=l/10 =0.1cm
Total no. Of divisions on circular scale N=100
Therefore
Least count =P/N=0.1/100=0.001cm
