Let O be the origin of a coordinate system. Let there be 'n' masses.
centre of mass=(m1r1+m2r2+m3r3+...mnyn)/(m1+m2+m3+...mn). ri is position vector of mass mi.
Let us assume that centre of 1kg sphere is O
centre of mass of system=(0*1+1*2+2*3+3*4)/(1+2+3+4)=20/10=2metre
