Three points are located at the vertices of an equilateral triangle of side a.They all start moving simultaneously with velocity v constant in modulus, with the first heading continually the second, the second heading the third and the third heading the first. How many times they will rotate the centre before meeting?

The velocity of A is along AB. The velocity of B is along BC. The componenet vel. of B along BA = v cos60 = v/2. Thus, the separationof particles at A and B decreases with the speed = v + v/2 = 3 v/2.

Since this speed is constant, the time taken in reducing the separation AB from a to zero is t = a/(3v/2)
