We fill air in a tyre to decrease the rolling friction. When we a tyre with less amount of air in it moves on a road then its actual area of contact with the ground increases due to which the adhesive forces between the tyre and road increase and a much larger force is required to overcome that force which requires more effort. But in case of an air filled tyre the force of adhesion is comparatively less and less effort is required to move the vehicle.

All the best.
