Dear raghavendra,
Mechanics is easy,first start wwith vectors, understand the topic carefullu read each and every point, you should know how each conclusion came.Next thing practise as many problems as you can , dont just read but practise. After doing problems in vectors start with basic kinematics , free body diagrams , newton laws of motion if you do these things properly, mechanics is cake walk.
