My rank(IIT ADVANCE, general category) in 2013 is 1399. According to last year records i am elligible for IIT Bombay civil, IIt Delhi chem., civil, iit roorkee Chem/ civil/ electrical/electronics and communication/ mechanical etc.
According to you, which one should be preferred by me if i have to choose between IITR electrical/ mechanical and IITB Civil ?
i am utterly confused. Please suggest what to do.

I think it will be better if you take Electrical in IIT R If we see in perspective of placement packeges and opportunities.
