Marks and Rank in IIT JEE> weightage...

Will there be a weightage of 80% 12th grade marks in IIT by 2011?

There is no such rule that you must have 80% marks for IIT JEE.

you must have only 60% marks in 12th grade .

and this 60% marks is only the eligibility criteria to sit in IIT JEE.it has no waitage in your final rank.

final rank depends upon your performance in IIT JEE paper.

HRD minister Kapil Sibal announced the eligibility condition for admission into IITs will be changed from next yea and acc. to that minimum marks in Class XII required for admission into IITs will be raised probably from the current 60% to 80%. But its not 100 % sure..as it is not implemented coz there are many opposing factors in this .... the only decision that has been taken by the IIT Council is that the IITs will submit a report in January, 2010 to rationalise JEE.
