i gave iit jee 2007 paper at home and i am getting 230(math-126,phy-54,chem-50) in 2010 iit jee paper i am getting 197(math-93,phy-62,chem-42) 1)how much can i improve in these last 45 days before giving actual iitjee 2012? 2)how much rank can i expect? 3)can i get decent enough marks to get admission in mechanical branch in one of the top 6 iits? 4)are my phy and chem score below individual subject cutoff?

Depending on the data given by you, i do suggest u should improve ur chemistry part. No need to learn new topics, just improve those which u already studied. This is because chemistry is an easy part compared to others to get more marks.

!.) In last 45 days, just revise and revise (both theory concepts and problems) from a standard book (it can be hc verma, etc whichever u like).

2.) You should not expect any rank before exam. Just focus on preparation, result will be good.

3.) If u have confidence in ur preparation, then certainly u wud get that good rank

4.)No, each subject cutoff is something like 10-20 marks(except jee 2012 in which it was P:20, C:20, M:34). u shud not worry for that. but yes, u can improve them.
