Kindly provide me the expected cut off mark for SC candidates.
If sufficient number of candidates are not available in the above category, what will be the further relaxed cut off mark for selection of preperatoty courses for SC candidates?

The general category student admitted to the IITs bagged an overall score of 178 (out of 480) whereupon the cut-off for an SC/ST student was brought down to 89 (half of 178) in year 2010. Till last year, the cut-off for SC/ST students used to be 60 per cent of the score of the last general category student.


If sufficient number of candidates are not available in the above category then the cut-off will further be decreased.

Dear Midhun, this depend on no. of candidate how much scoring in the exam then cut-off selected by board of IIT exam this is not decided previous because if NO.of SC student is less then seat is vacant then cut-off may be less.Minimum marks should required if you can score good marks in IIT then you get good college.
