Dear tong

I don't know about which examination are you talking. But in general I can tell you.

Generally marks are metioned corresponding to each grade. e.g. A grade =10, B grade =8, C grade =6, D grade =4, It differs exam to exam.

If a student gets A,C,D ,B,B grade in five subjects

Then his Cummulative grade point average (CGPA) becomes avg of all grades i.e. (10+6+4+8+8)/5=7.200

All the best.
