i would like to know how much would the closing rank of a stream in iit go back by if last year it closed at around 5000............

Dear Rajiv,

Only few seats have been increased in the old IITs and most of the seats have been increased due to the opening of new IITs. Students abive this rank in general wont prefer to go for New IITs and would rather opt for IT-BHU or ISMU. Considering these, the shifting of the closing rank wont go beyond 250 -300.
