General rank 18000 is not so good to get a seat into IIT’s. If you are a fresher I would recommend you to take a drop and prepare well for JEE because in 2ndattempt you will have great chances to do well.

not enough score to fetch into iits if you are fresher then go for drop for fair chances next year or can choose iiits or nits on your mains score
