The electric current in a circuit is given by i=i0(t/toue) for some time. Calculate the rms current for the period t=0 to t=toue.here , the rms current is i0/root3..but normally we take rms current as i0/root2 , how we will where to take i0/root2 or i0/root3.??.is that so , that we take i0/root2 in sinusoidal functions only?? plzz , xplain...

The mean square current is i¯2i¯2=1τ=1τ∫τ0i20(t(τ)2dt=i20τ3∫τ0dt=i203∫0τi02(t(τ)2dt=i02τ3∫0τdt=i023 Thus, the rms current is irms=i¯2−−√=i03–√
