hello sir,how the oersted law is applied in elecric AC motor?

acc to oersted , a steady electric current creates a magnetic field around it , and it do uses in all kind of motor and electric generator . 
in electric generator , its used to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy , and so on .. 
so, in electric motor , the main wire or live wire behaves a sa strong magnet .
