What is the role of probability in Defense?(Countries, wars, etc.) PLEASE GIVE ANSWER URGENTLY REQUIRED!!!!!

probability have role in every aspect of life , even u cannot imagine your life without probability , 
the war planning should done in the besis of probability only , so, that we have required soldier at every position on the field , 
and in NAVY , also they required probability to find out the submarines , without that it might take a long time to search the submarines in sucha long ocean .
