Centre : (0, 4-r)
Length of perpendicular from (0, 4-r) to line x-y = 0 is:
 
r = |(0 -4 +r)/\sqrt2|
r - 4 = + - \sqrt2 r
On solving
r = 4(\sqrt2 -1)
