Understanding it as a term of Statistics or Sampling. We realize that there are 10 balls. Just 2 of them will go to the wicker container. At that point we have N = 10 , n = 2. Utilizing Simple irregular testing with substitution we get. 
N^n = (10)^2 = 100.
