the correct answer is n – 1, in which only n is excluded. 1 is ALWAYS a proper divisor of every positive integer n, except for n= 1 as in that case 1 and n are identical. so 1 has NO proper divisor. eg. proper divisors of 6 are: 1, 2. 3 kindly approve :)
