# find the coefficient x^10 in (2x^2 +4/x^3)^11 in maths for class 12

see the general term in the expansion is

$\binom{11}{r} (2x^2)^{(11-r)}(4x^{-3})^{r}$     here $\binom{11}{r} is$nCr

therefore power of x in anyterm is= 2(11−r)−3r
if power of x=10
=> 22−5r=10
=>5r=12
=>r=12/5
but for any term r must be a natural no since is not an natural no
there exists no term having power 10 in the expansion of (2x2+4/x3)
so the coefficient of x10 in the expansion is 0

hope this is useful
