Hi there. For such questions break the interval in parts according to definition. We know for x€(-1,0) x³>x.. to make it more clear take example of -1/2.. and for x€(0,1) x>x³.. hence directly integrate now from (-1 to 0) and from (0 to 1) using appropriate definition.
