required area = 2integral(lowerlimit x=0 and upper limit x=infinite)of 1/(1+x^2) dx
= 2[inverse of tanx]x=0 and x=infinite
=2{tan-1(infinite)-tan-1(0)}
=2.pie/2
=pie
