Dear student

just find the vertices made by the lines on x and y axis

4x + y = – 4

x/( –1) + y/( –4) = 1

hence co-ordinate at x axis = ( –1, 0)
co-ordinate on y axis = (0,  –4)

now area = (½) * 1 * 4
 = 2 unit2
